Hematoma on top of head

Hi,

I'm not sure how my sun conure got his hematoma but noticed it after he showered yesterday. I don't see any broken feathers or visible lacerations. Other than being sensitive to that area, he is acting normally. It's difficult to get a timely avian vet appointment in my area. Can anyone comment on the seriousness of the issue or anything I should watch out for? Thank you

Looks like a blood blister , maybe from hitting it somewheres?
Probably not life threatening but if it is hurting the birdy, me, I'd get it looked at.

Took my sun conure to see an avian vet yesterday. Said it's just a hematoma that happened from some unknown trauma (maybe he banged his head in his cage?).

Said it is superficial and should resolve itself within 2 weeks. So all is well.
