right now the cage is safe for them, give them a bit of time to come out, you can slowly start bringing your hand up to the cage to edge yourself closer and closer to them until they're happy with you. When you try and get them out I'd advise closing your curtains to avoid any window based accidents

Also, is it okay if I stick decorating butterflies on the windows? (They're 3d butterflies so they're clearly visible) My birds really enjoy the sunlight for some reason and I also fear them hurting themselves with a hot lamp if they perch on the chandelier.
