Try the peanuts that still has the shell around it as a treat. Some of my birds would do almost anything to get it.
Like a previous poster commented IRN's are incredibly food-motivated so if you can figure out their favourite food and they come to realise they only get it from you it should make things a bit easier.
Then again: this won't happen overnight, it's probably going to take weeks to accomplish.
