So I have a Senegal parrot called Patrick who is a year old now. We've had him about 8-9 months and he's my first parrot.
We recently took him to the vet for the first time and since then he's seemed different (they did trim his beak a teeny bit with an electric grinder thingy).
He's been a bit less vocal, hasn't wanted to play games or do tricks and has been much more clingy to me. I literally can't get him off me and if I do he flies straight back.
We leave him by himself all day 7-4:30 with the radio on Monday to Friday, he's always out of his cage and has plenty to do (I'd think he does he has 3 'play stands' and loads of toys.
We get him up about 6 and he's been taking himself to bed earlier than usual.
I'm concerned we're not giving him enough attention. I pretty much spend between 4:30-8 playing and interacting with him but I worry it's not enough.
What do you think?
