Is he happy?

I've read that parrots get talkative at night but what about in the morning? I have a rescue and he started really talking it up this morning. Does that mean he's feeling more relaxed? He generally stands on one foot but when I get close to the cage he still beaks at me. :52: I'm just looking for any sign that we're heading in a good direction with him.

Thats a good sign. Slow and steady. Day by day. He is in no rush, and neither should you be. Find his favorite treat and bribe, bribe , bribe.

He seems to like walnuts and tangerines. How many is too many? The first few days we had him, every few hours I'd give him a piece of shelled walnut. I'm happy to continue but don't want to over do it.
