Is quarantine necessary for a congo african grey that is NOT from an aviary???

I have a second african grey that is not from a aviary but is second hand and seems perfectly healthy. is it still necessary to keep him in quarantine for 30 days???:confused:

A big YES....you should also have a full vet check done including fecal and CBC testing. You can never be to safe :) I currently have a TAG in quarantine, we decided to go all the way with a full 60day quarantine.

Any bird should be quarantined- whether from an aviary, breeder or a pet situation.
Just because a bird is from a private breeder, it doesn't mean you should skip quarantine procedures.

Abby 2 year old Female Eclectus & Solomon 12 year old Male CAG & Dickens 4 year old CAG.
Yes and I would take him to an avian vet and get him checked just to be sure.
