Parrots
Alexandrine Parrot
Good day ladies and gents
I have a baby Alexandrine who's now 2 months old. I'd just like to know, from your people's experience, at what age more or less do they start rejecting the hand-rearing porridge? At about 1,5 months he started rejecting 1 feed, bringing it down to 2, and then for the last few days he's not been taking any of it at all. He takes about 10-15ml either in the morning or in the evening, and then tries to run away from the syringe by either jumping onto my lap or climbing up my arm and chilling on the back of my neck. He's at least eating his fair share of pellets/cereal mix and fruit, and I noticed he's drinking water now as well, so I'm not really concerned, although I don't know if I should be. This is my first time hand-rearing, and according to a buddy of mine, 2 months is very early for a bird to be rejecting the porridge almost completely. Any advice? Thanks
