I wanted to know if the mash I made is safe for the bird to continue eating.
I used cooked brown rice, yellow squash, apple, cucumber, bell pepper, red and romaine lettuce, grapes. I think thats it. All bird-safe foods.
I used the veggie chopper to cut up the lettuce, squash, cucumber, and bell pepper. When the last two were chopped, it made a foamy liquid. I've not used these ingredients in the past, so I didnt expect this.
I mixed it all in, froze little baggies, and started feeding to my GCC (who is sick and needs the extra goodies right now more than ever).
The first bag was liquidy, but seemed fine. The next bag I thawed is very brown and liquidy (liquid is brown). The veggies and fruits look fine, except everything is brown.
Is this batch ok, or did I make a mistake? Do I need to throw it out and make a new batch?
