memory foam topper?

Howdy. Tonight I bought something like this:

ComforZen 2.5-Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper - All Sizes Reviews ? Viewpoints.com

Except mine has a layer of soy and charcoal to absorb odors.

One customer said asthma was induced... the topper itself is 100% polyurethane...

I'll be unwrapping this thing and letting it air out in another room, but who all here has toppers or foam mattresses, and are your birds okay?

I opened up the package and there was absolutely no smell. I doubt it's even remotely harmful, but I'll let it air out for a couple days first.

A topper I bought a decade ago had instructions to say to let it air for 3 days prior to use and, phew, it stunk like fresh formaldehyde and/or phthalates...
