PARAKEET!
Some of you may remember me asking your opinions on which I should get her, a keet or a tiel. Well, I looked at both and decided on a baby parakeet. My son said that's what he thought she would be most comfortable handling, so that's what we went with. "Little One" is quite young and skittish and needs some work. I can handle him (I'm hoping male so I say "him"), but I'm used to my big birds. I was planning on keeping him here temporarily, but reconsidered since he is now in our bedroom under quarantine and I feel he needs to be more in the "action". He will go to my granddaughter today and if she or my son need help, we are only 15 minutes away. If they can't get him tamed down then I will bring him back, after the quarantine is completed, and work with him. He's nipped me a couple times and, of course, it didn't hurt me, but I'm afraid it will hurt little fingers. I will work with my granddaughter and son at their home. Also, they have no other cats/dogs/parrots that could hurt little one. So, here he is...
