So Acorn has developed a habbit of plucking my neck hairs when she is sitting on my shoulder. It is increadably painful. Any suggestions as to how to get her to stop?

It is difficult. I have the same problem with my birds. I have a beard also that they like to preen. It's in their nature to preen the ones they love. I've come to accept it, and try to shoo them away if it gets too much. Just remember, they wouldn't do it if they didn't love you.
