Hello Everyone,

My name is Tami and I am thrilled to finally have my very own parrot, Levi.
Levi is a Congo African Grey that joined our family last August.

I've been a pet owner my entire life, mainly Labrador Retrievers blk & yell and cats. I decided once my last lab passed, I would venture into the parrot world. I've been coming to your forum for quite sometime and I'm amazed at the wealth of knowledge and kindness contained within these threads. Very impressive indeed.
I finally decided I needed to join your family.

My son has special needs and his favorite movie is Paulie. After seeing that movie for the first time, (many years ago) and my son's response, I thought how wonderful it would be to one day get a talking bird for our family.
After much research I decided on an African Grey. My son repeats many phrases and I know he'll be thrillled once 'Levi' starts repeating him.

Levi said his first word back in Feb at 10 months. He said,
wait for it ...... "Levi". Haha He continues to amaze us with his language and intellect.
I knew I would enjoy him, but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd love him as much as I do.

I joined last week and thought I should make an official introduction. I know you all will enhance my ability to be the best mommy to Levi.
I've posted a few pix of him in a 'Levi' album on my page. Please feel free to check out my handsome fellow.

Thank you so much Inger, GaleriaGila, Flboy, CopyCat & Wrench13, for the warm welcome and kind compliments. I do enjoy photographing him and he is a good sport.

Actually Wrench13, he is experiencing his 1st molt and isn't looking so good these days. It was actually quite frightening seeing him lose so many feathers within a short amount of time. Usually, I would rarely see a feather other than the downy feathers. I was grateful when his Vet confirmed I had nothing to worry about.
