Olive headed lorikeet

As the new mama to a lorikeet, I have been reseaching lorikeets and finally discovered the specific species that I have. She/he is an olive headed/yellow headed/perfect lorikeet and a young bird. The eyes are a light brownish now but should become more orangy red and the beak will become orange red also. Today is day 4 and is acclimating well, eats most anything I give her and even talks to me. Honey is a real pleasure and so far not a problem with her expulsion on the lower end. Ha! Maybe this will be helpful to someone else.

Congrats on your new bird! Check out Linda's Blessing it's a great food if you haven't heard of it already you can get it on amazon and stick to only fruit, they can't have anything with iron so no veggies if possible. Good luck!
