Hi again everyone. I have a friend with a shed that is at least 4m by 3m, he is willing to turn it into an aviary for Suki, with a double door lock system to make sure she doesn't get out accidently. I am hoping with this it will be easier to put in some form of routine by using this as her day environment and letting her hang out in the house in the morning and at night.

Does anyone have any advice for doing this? Things to watch out for? What would be the easiest way to clean it?

Thanks for any input

I thought you had Suki as an in house bird...

Putting her into an aviary by herself will probably stress her out... She's only young?

She is six months old and she is an in house bird. But I thought she would enjoy a few hours out in the aviary to play and be in the Sun instead of alone in the house. At first she will only be in their for half an hour and I'll slowly build it up. Plus good exercise, she will still be spending 5-6 hours with me in the afternoon and 2-3 in the morning once she is used to it.

Or do you think this is a bad Idea?

No... It sounds like a great idea... I thought you were going to leave her in an aviary on a permanent basis...
