Skittles meets a PEACH!

Like everything with Skittles and food, it's a struggle. Tonight a neighbor brought us some peaches from their backyard tree. After having to slurp through two peaches myself, making all the appropriate yummy noises, Skittles dared to rub his beak across the last juicy chunk. It didn't take long to discover that he REALLY LIKES peaches.

I did make sure to pull the pit before offering him a bite and the neighbor said they were untreated peaches (super juicy, too!)

Another fear conquered!

MMMMMM Peaches ... Nature's CANDY ... Who doesn't like peaches?
Now the only problem I have is another mouth to share mine with! LOL

This morning I cut up a few chunks and put them in his treat dish. When I finally put him back in his cage before I left for work he had mangled them, ate a bunch and had a big juicy smear on the side of his beak. He wouldn't let me close enough to wipe it off.

It was good to see him attack something other than the occasional sunflower seed treat.
