- I have a beautiful 4 year old brown throated conure named Charlie. Just bought him on April 18 2015
Is its safe for birds to sleep out of the cage at night? Because now that Charlie is out his cage he kind of takes advantage of the fact that he won't let us grab him and we have to wait for him to fly or waddle to us lol. Last night he was out of his cage late and he flew on to the TV and started falling asleep I didn't want to bother him because he looked tired so we let him stay there for a bit. We didn't go to bed till 11 30 last night and we tried getting him back in his cage but he wouldn't go. I didn't want to let him sleep out because I was worried he would do something and get hurt I even left all the cage doors open so he could go back in if he wanted. So I let him and just got up twice last night to check on him. He was good when I came out in the morning and I had to put my arm out to help him get back on his cage cause the TV is to high up for him to climb . He seemed to like sleeping out and I'm happy he's comfortable enough to be out all day with us but should I let him keep doing this and is it safe?
