Smell

just bought a small delonghi oil radiator and the box smelled like really strong chemicals. I ran it for several hours and it doesn't smell. But it feels like maybe condensation kind of oily feeling under it when I run it ...is that normal ....I don't see any leaks. I'm just worried and paranoid if it had some kind of leak since the box smelled ...probably dumb questions but I figured I'd ask anyway. And if bird dander dust gets inside it what will happen?

What is inside the unit stays inside and what is outside stays on the outside.

It is likely that what you are finding is from manufacturing and/or shipping preparation. If the light oily feeling remains it can be quickly cleaned by using Original Dawn Dish Washing Soap in mid to hot water and using a wash rag clean the area with the oil like coating, Raise the rag in cool water and use it to remove the light soapy coating. Use a dry rag to dry the unit.

Stay clear of the electrical control and wiring.
