I was wondering if anyone knows if it's okay to feed parakeets the leaves from a sweet potato plant? :blue2:

I dunno, but I wouldn't… I know that regular potato leaves/flowers are poisonous, but I dunno about leaves of sweet potato. I'd just stay safe. Let's see what others say.

People can and do eat sweet potato greens, but my database has a notation (cooked) beside sweet potatoes, so guess raw ones aren't good for them, but they are not in the nightshade family, like regular potatoes are, so can't help.....

Unless someone here has the answer, I'd do a net search, but you'd probably have to wade through a couple of hundred web pages or more.....

Good luck.....
