she's fine...tails go nuts after a bath....
Yeah, I agree totally...
The whole thing with "Tail-Bobbing means they're sick" or that there is something else going on that shouldn't be, like an egg, etc. came from the fact that their tails always "bob' a little bit when they breath normally and are perfectly fine, but when they have labored-breathing, like with an upper respiratory infection, pneumonia, or with a cardia issue, etc. their tails naturally "bob" more and more and it's more noticeable the harder they breath. So if you follow that thought-pattern it means that every time they breath harder than normal they must be sick...And that's just not true. When they exert themselves, like with flying or climbing or walking or playing they are going to breath harder than normal, and the same when they get excited, like after a bath or when they're playing with you, etc. So the bottom-line is that their tails are ALWAYS bobbing a little bit if you watch them closely because they bob every time they breath, and the harder they breath the more their tails are going to bob...Certainly doesn't mean anything is wrong with them. That's why I've never looked at "Tail-Bobbing" as a very serious sign/symptom of illness or pain. The only time where I've seen significant increase in tail-bobbing and it's usually related to illness or pain is in very small birds, specifically Budgies. Because they're so small their tails 'bob" constantly with every breath, and if they are just sitting around not doing anything or exerting themselves and their tails are bobbing like crazy, something is wrong...But otherwise, like in the case of Sunny, she was just excited about the bath...
It's good you're taking her for the implants tomorrow, and yes, you definitely need to DEMAND that they do an X-Ray before putting the implants in, not because of this tail-bobbing thing, but just because she's been hormonal lately since her surgery, and it's very possible that she's got an egg forming...Or at least Follicles already formed, which are also visible on a plain X-Ray...So if she has a bunch of Follicles already formed, the implants should hopefully stop them from turning into eggs, and she should just re-absorb them. It's good timing for the X-Ray and the implants.
