hi guys destinee my african grey she is great outside of her cage as soft and tame as anything but when i go near her cage she goes mental squarking and you try and open her door she wil be at me why is this?? or is there anything i could do to calm ths down?? thanks

She might have cage aggression! Do you have another cage by any chance? Sometimes by changing out their cage, the aggression can stop. Otherwise, offer a treat when you walk up to her cage and see what happens.

Either she has had a negative experience with her cage or she doesn't like going there.

Offering her a treat at her cage is a good idea. You might also try taking her to her cage and leaving her there with treats for a couple moments, then coming back and getting her. Perhaps sometimes taking her back to her cage, closing the door, and letting her sit in there for a short bit then taking her back out.

Target training would also be a great idea to get her used to going back to her cage.
