The Rickeybird's 40th birthday is coming up (May 5)... so I thought I'd sample a few of his antics from earlier forum years...

It's Cinco de Mayo, yes, AND, coincidentally, the Rickeybird's 40th birthday!!

Thank you, one and all, for the support, information and patient listening over the years. You have truly helped me navigate, evaluate and tolerate all kinds of issues and emotions relating to my very special roommate.
This is a special, special place.

This is a poem the Rb and I wrote ages ago. It's a tribute to... you.

Not gonna try to be clever.
I want to tell how I feel about you
Yesterday, now, and forever.

I'll never claim that I know sacred things.
No Holy Grail to discuss.
But in my heart shines a flickering beacon
Somehow it led me to Us.

Beckoning candle... bright sanctuary.
Your doors are open so wide.
Big as a starburst and small as an ember.
Our mission glows, deep inside.

E=mc2, Black Holes, Big Bang.
Plenty of mysteries, plus...
Magic, Eternal, our Family aerie.

Just for laughs... another blast from the past (2018)...
This was the Rival's (aka, my ol' man's) hopeful attempt to deport my Rickeybird based on some information about the Patagonian Conure in its homeland.
By the way, it didn't work... the bird is still perched here in his Ohio headquarters.

I can afford to be generous, Aunty G, there's more than enough hirsuteness there for both of us!!
