Good day All,
My 4 month old amazon now has a name Pickles. Its been 72 hours and she has not yet settled in. I have to towel her to get her in and out of her cage for feeding and it stresses her as she barks and growls and attempts to bite me. However when shes out of her cage she interacts well with kiwi, they play and bond and preen. Pickles is calm and docile even eating pumpkin bread from my hand, however when its time to clean her cage or but her into her cage she growls, screams bloody murder and attempts to bite me. What should I do? Thank you very much.

Achilles my blind Cockatiel, she is four years old.

a Moluccan Cockatoo that it's over 30 years old.
Why do you need to towel pickles to feed him? Do the cops not open from the outside of the cage? Is he aggressive if you try to feed him?

Because he is new do not handle him if you do not absolutely need to. I let Jojo settle for a couple weeks before I let him out of his cage. After that I would focus on target training to get pickles to happily go where you ask him to go.
