I thought it would be cool to see how many parrots are right-footed and how many were left.
I have two birds that can use their feet my Gcc Tom and my Quaker Tony. Tom is left footed and Tony is right. I know that parrots who can't use their feet to pick things up probably have a preference too, but it's hard to tell with them. I think I've read that them being left footed is much more common?

Jeff is left footed.

The majority of my birds have been lefties. As for Charlie - I think he's all beak with a slight preference for left. Redshift is .... well, I dunno, LOL!

My cockatiel Rico is left footed! when he broke his femur it didnt hamper his ability to use it well after it healed!

Ona is a lefty 🙂 She always “waves” with her left foot.
