Why does my lovebird keep biting my back when he gets on my shoulder

Whenever my bird gets on my shoulder he keeps biting my back.
What can be causing this behaviour?I've been constantly giving him attention and toys i constantly change his food,water.
What would be causing this behavior?

That’s hard to say parrotman. Is your lovebird biting you through clothing or on bare skin? There may be a freckle or a skin tag or something similar back there and perhaps he thinks he’s doing you a favour in removing it. Or sometimes I think they just get a little overexcited. My lorikeet used to bite me on the back through my clothes but (thankfully!) she just spontaneously stopped doing it a while ago, but she still does try to preen freckles off my neck. Fully agree with the above Post. Also, its possible that the target is hair... A grooming favor it you will.
