~1-year-old Eclectus, from a pet shop about a month ago.
- Recurring episodes of glossy, jet-black droppings. They're formed (not diarrhea), with no red streaks.
- When an episode starts, he seems to be in pain: fluffed up, eyes closed, dozing for about an hour. Then he perks up, starts passing droppings and is clearly relieved.
- Urates are consistently green, even between episodes.
- Episodes start early morning (after colored pellets + seeds overnight) or after meals.
- Coccidia was found and treated with TMP-S + enrofloxacin + metronidazole. It improved, then recurred 5–6 days later.
- Possible exposures: he chewed about 1–2 cm of an artificial plant leaf ( not sure eat or not maybe chewed),
- Stomach (proventriculus/gizzard) or intestines?
- Foreign body, or an ulcer?
