Parakeets!
Hi everyone!

new little budgies added to our home today! We believe the blue to be a boy and are hopeful the grayish one is also a boy, but the store associate told us it may be a girl. We were hoping for two boys so any help with the genders?

thanks a ton!

It's hard to tell with fledgling budgies, their ceres may turn pink or blue, either one. But birds with violet ceres as fledglings tend to turn blue, while whitish ceres often turn out to be pink. However, that doesn't mean you have two females, you might have two males. Or a male and a female. You can predict what it is, but you need to wait to know for sure.

More pics in case! These were in natural daylight. I know it’s hard to tell now, we’re just very excited :) and more pictures of these cuties can’t hurt

It is still early to be sure, but I believe you have two girls :)

Beautiful birds to say the least. The grey one is not a common mutation grey wing factor will dilute the whole body that otherwise would be a solid grey (two dark factors in the blue series make a grey budgie). On top of that the bird is also a yellow faced mutation which should be white in a regular blue series bird.
