My 29 year-old Myers started vomiting up his food earlier today. He was hospitalized in March for a very inflamed digestive tract, high uric acid, dehydration, and spent three days at the avian vet. After one month of medicine and Emer-aid along with diet changes he was back to his old self until today. I started giving him amer-aid omnivore and he has happily taken from the syringe but then he puked some of it up about 45 minutes later. I’ve been monitoring him all day, after he pukes, I give him a bit of EMER-aid so that he does not get completely dehydrated. He then gets all spunky again and then wants to nap. he definitely wants to eat, but then he will puke it up. I was told a couple drops of Pepto-Bismol sometimes helps and I also left a voicemail for the avian vet as it is a weekend. Wondering if anyone else has experience this and has any other suggestions to possibly treat his digestive problems. The puking is not happening as frequently, but still there for the past eight hours.

Make sure he sees his Avian vet on Monday! No one on here is a vet or vet assistant. I would make sure he stays hydrated at the very least.

Yes. We will be at avian vet before the door is open on Monday morning. I continue to syringe feed the critical care powder. It has been helping keep him hydrated.
