It's the 8th day since Kumar's vet visit where he was injured by the techs (x-ray room). I took 5 days off work, and held this bird on my chest during waking hours, keeping him in my (dimmed) bedroom, where we slept. I just shut my phone off and babied him. When I went back to work Thursday, I just took own client and went home. His appetite is back to normal. He plays. But he still can't fly, and I'm absolutely furious. The vet office called today and left a message, wanting to check in and see how he's doing. I didn't call back because I was afraid I would fly off the handle. I'm calling tomorrow and asking to speak with the owner (and chief vet), or have him call me. He's frustrated, I'm frustrated, and my hands are covered with the worst bites I've had since I've got him. He's very clingy, and extremely nippy. He can go a little longer if he tries to fly, and he lands somewhat normally, but he still can't fly. He mostly doesn't try, but he might give it a shot once a day. He's actually embarrassed to be around my budgies. He was very bluffy (yet friendly) with them, and enjoyed taking off with them in a flock-flight from some imagined danger (or a bird outside). When they come around, he hides. They on the other hand, are super nice to him. They used to take pleasure in occaisionally dive-bombing him. Gadget would sometimes knock him right off my shoulder. They don't do that anymore, because they seem to know he's ***ked up. He is better, but he's not flying, and it's been 8 days
