A little confused and annoyed.

Because she's fostering the bird, through the rescue, it's not her's. She's not adopting , the bird needs a new foster, either the rescue takes responsiblity for the bird they have fostered out or the OP does and the rescue "washes their hands " of the bird. My wife and i do without often to pay the vet bills and buy food, people think little of dumping zons with health issues on me. i'm sorry but you'll get little sympathy from me for a stressed rescue. We do the best we can with what we have. You have to know your limits or your part of the problem instead of the solution.
