Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...it seems like BB has set up a normal morning routine for himself.

He is usually quiet, untill I turn the stereo on. It takes him a few minutes to "warm up" and he begins his routine. He is very vocal at this time, where I bet he spends a good thirty minutes in "song" twittles and whistles.

A lot of his vocalizing is 'tiel :grey: gibberish. A combination of his own whistles, chirps and learned stuff. He throws in a bunch of wolf whistles, and every morning his attempt at Andy Griffith gets clearer and longer. He makes these sounds quite loudly < to him I bet lol> and his sounds are really sweet to me,and Amy too I think, coz this is also the time she starts to vocalize also :green:.

As I am typing this,he is in his house just going on and on. I am hearing things now that I am sure he has made up,a series of chirps and whistles, and Amy is right there,in her own house,as back-up singer lol.

I GOTTA get a vid of this stuff. If a non parront read this, they'd think I was off my rocker lmao ;)

Jim

edit: WOW!! he has been at it for going on an hour now and hasn't stopped for a breath!! And its all KINDS of sounds this little guy is making. This is fantastic,I have never heard so much cockatiel sweetness in my life!

A video is a must Jim for all of us so we can hear the concert too...I bet the backup singer harmonizes well too with the little showman BB. He is a real character .. dont forget that video Jim I will be very much looking forward to seeing it :)

I would LOVE to see/hear a video :D

I can't wait until Coconut starts vocalizing more... it will be fun to see if he starts singing with Rascal... Rascal is as quiet as a mouse though LOL...

I will certainly try! But as soon as he see's the camera..he clams up,and gives me "the eyeball" lol :grey:

How is 'Nut doing?? I hope you are still taking him to his doc Thursday :o just to be on the safe side! " a pound of this is better than an ounce of that"

Jim, I'm a teeny bit jealous. My Sweet Pea is the quietest creature in our house, I can't complain though, she's also one of the sweetest. I would love to hear Baby Bird's voice if you can capture it on video.

Ah, I miss the sweet sounds of a cockatiel. Nothing gets across that feeling of being happy to see you like the excited chatter and whistling of a cockatiel when you first get home!

And their ability to pick up tunes and whistle them back is phenomenal!

Little cockatiels as the sweetest things! Mine used to sing for hours, had him singing to us for years. Still miss him!
