A Secret Kingdom in Maine

In the shadows of Windham where pine trees sway,
The whispers of morning chase dreams away,
A secret world's humming, a color... a wing,
The budgies wake up, oh the songs they sing!

They dance on air like thoughts in my head,
Soothing my heart, where restless thoughts tread,
The doors fly open to the cage of my mind,
Nature is linked, leaving shadows behind.

Oh, Windham, you cradle a world in your land,
A feathered society, tiny but grand,
Rhythms and rules and customs and that be,
In the heart of that hideout... a lost part of me.

When night comes again, and dawn's just a sigh,
I'll seek out the secrets, as seasons fly by,
The magic of budgies, in dreams so free,
A kingdom of feathers. That’s where I’ll be.

That's so nice! Thank you! I love it! It captures the woodland feeling we have here with our budgies so well!
