There is a behavior of female parrots where they push out their vent, and pull it back in. It looks like a temporary prolapse but is a normal behavior.

My avian veterinarian is looking for anyone who will share a video clip of this behavior.

Thanks!

does it look like repeated puckering lips? lol---I know that's gross...but....

Could be, have you seen it in noodles? If you have, she would love to see

Are you talking about cycling of the vent several times other than after elimination?

Hi Laura, is it a specific species that your vet is discussing with you?

I have no video but I think I have seen Bella do this.
It was in. The shower so she was above eye level. After releaving herself I noticed her vent pulsing.

I would also bet money that I saw Pacho do this to but not sure.

any species, its known but not documented.
Probably more of a come hither mating behavior..but if you have anything that seems close , please share.
Thanks bunches

I have a female and she pushed her vent right up to whatever is close (cage, play stand) and she will do that pulse thing. For her is a breeding thing and she does this twice a day

Yes. A breeding thing. If you can share a short clip? Awesome
