Green Cheek Conure- Louis
Does anybody that has a green cheek conure know if abba soak seed is good size for them? It says good for small to medium sized birds and I see several parrotlet owners feed them. Just wondering and making sure if someone with a green cheek conure feeds them abba soak seed.

I'm an Amazon Snob, so likely not the source that are looking for. But this Post will get your Thread bumped back-up the board and someone that uses this product may respond.

Thank you for bumping my post. Just wondering if anyone feeds them abba seed. I feel like it's mostly for parrotlets cause I read or watfh most youtubers have parrotlets and feed them that diet..

Many of the Abba seeds contain dyes, so I would avoid them for that fact alone.

If you want a seed to sprout, then there's China Prairie, Sprout People, Handy Pantry or many other companies that sell seeds specifically for sprouting.

I use the Abba Soak Seed all the time! It has no food coloring in it. My JoJo loves it!

I wasn't familiar with it, so I just looked it up on their website...Not liking the "ingredients" at all!!!

Right from their website:

Ingredients: Thistle seed, Rape Seed, Canary grass Seed, Wheat, Buckwheat, , Millet Seed, Safflower Seed, red milo, yellow milo, Non-Viable Hemp Seed, Mung Beans, Lettuce, Seed, Salt, Potassium Iodide, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Manganous Oxide, Ferrous Carbonate, Mineral Oil, Iron Oxide, Copper Oxide, Calcium Periodate, Cobalt Carbonate, Calcium Propionate.

What is with the "SALT!!!, Iron Oxide, Copper Oxide, Mineral Oil"??? I don't know about this one...The "salt" alone is enough for me to say nope, along with the Iron Oxide....

I just saw your response to this product! Me thinks you misunderstood their approach. They want you to let the seed sit, without a rinse, long enough for the sprouting to begin. The oxides/salts are minerals! Plants pull minerals from the soil, getting them into the food chain! I think they do a terrible job by not explaining this!
Edit: it is a light dusting that rinses right off, I have used these seeds for micro greens!

Thank you both for info.
I don't sprout for my fear of doing it wrong and growing fungus. It's moldy enough here in Florida!!! I fight it on my patio my outside of house, am sure dogs track in mold spores all the time , shudder...
