Is there a list of the acronyms used here on parrot forums????

I found this website which has definitions for many internet acronyms and other abbreviations you might come across on the web. I'm not sure if you mean parrot related?

If you mean acronyms of parrot species common names such as BWP, that's Raven my Bronze Winged Pionus for example. Those you may have to just learn in time since there are so many. Of course, a clue would be that the last letter is the genus such as the letter C for conures, or A for amazons... Was that what you meant?

Yep, I think I posted one last year or the year before, do a forums search for acronyms or bird or parrot acronyms.....if you can't find it, post back here & I'll find it for you.....

Looky here, Walt Disney, we (and I'm referring to the SUPER mods) didn't invent the titles ourselves, ok? If you really must know why we are called "super moderators", or what exactly it is we do, you could always contact one of our SUPER DUPER UBER UPPERS, also called Administrators. :54:

Mein Garten entwickelt sich weiterhin praechtig, aber es ist auch sehr viel Arbeit.

The username Anansi is a reference to a male character from Jamaican folklore. A trickster spider, fond of practical jokes. Being that my family is from Jamaica, and I grew up on stories about him, I took on the username as a nod to my heritage.

Telling bio info, eh? And that's you "keeping your word?" My 3 year old would at least have lasted a few hours. Pray tell, what exactly did you find so "telling"?

Oy! Stephen! Don't feel bad! I knew you were a bloke immediately and I knew who Anansi was. Even down here in the darkest Antipodes, we know stuff.

What I really wish I knew was German. Our Wendy (and, apparently, Walt) can listen to Rammstein and know what they're singing. I have to look up translations.

Oh, and I just assumed we were called 'super' mods because we do a lot more checking and vetting behind the scenes than most mods do in online groups. I mean, really? How often do we have flame wars on here? Or long, meaningless threads about people's haemorrhoids? Or members being stalked because they posted their email address out loud?

I feel our super mods do a really good job (and I'm not talking about myself here: owing to the time difference, most of that work has already been done before I get online). Also, various of our mods have done good turns for members in Real Life that no one ever hears about. So do think before posting a 'tongue-in-cheek' comment. You might not know to whom or how you are causing hurt.
