I adopted a bcc from a relative who had adopted it from someone else. I don't have much info about her, like her age or origin. She has a leg band. Could I use the band to get more info? If so, how?

From what I have heard the band is the breeder's id number, apparently every breeder has an id number and id's their baby with that band. So the best way is through your relative if they can give you some info or take him/her to the vet and they might be able to give you an age and other things like that

You might be able to use the leg band to find out where she came from and possibly the year she was born, but beyond that, it is unlikely you'll find out much more beyond that.
