African Grey Won?t Eat So Much

Hi everyone! My African Grey is about to turn 8 months old somewhere in August. About a few days ago, I noticed that he wasn?t eating as much. I?m still feeding him handfeed formula. I?ve noticed this behavior back when he was still younger at about 2-3 months old. Is it possible for him to cut back on some weight at this age? Thank you very much!

Welcome, your grey is potentially of age to be fully weaned. Some parrots take significantly longer, so practice of "abundance weaning" may be best. What types of solid foods was he eating before you noticed reduced eating? Some birds will slim a bit before learning to fly.
