I have had my Sun Conure for about 2 years and I got him when he was just a baby. Lately he has become very aggressive when I have him on my shoulder and start to move. If he is on my shoulder and I go to take a sip of something to drink he attacks my hand. He bites on and does not let go!!! he pierces through the skin and it hurts like hell. He does this with everything, picking up a remote control, taking off earrings ANYTHING! Basically if I want to hang out with him I need to sit down and not do anything but play with him and give all my attention to him. And lets be real…Who has time to do that? It discourages me from playing with him and picking him up. Any suggestions? anyone have this same issue? Thank you very much in advance.

This one was very easy. I don't think he deserves to be on your shoulder any more.
Play with him and cuddle him and give him a lot of love, but not from your shoulder.

Good luck!

Eloy has the right of it One of you needs to learn that the shoulder is a right not a privledge. and shoulder time should be for the trip from the cage to the chair where he sits on your knee or hand and gets scratches.
