I looked for a list of airlines that allow parrots to travel in the cabin with you and I had a hard time finding one. Most only allow cats and dogs. I was hoping someone here had a list they could share with me. I want to take my baby on vacation!!!! I bought a Pack "o" Bird and I intend on using it. I would also like to know what kind of documents I would need if anyone knows or how to register my bird or if you need to register a bird. I didn't get that many papers from the pet shop so I have no idea when or how to register her. Help! My trip I am planning isn't till August so time is on my side.

Where are you planning to travel to and from? That makes a big difference.

NYC to Walla, Walla Washington.

Be prepared for multiple stops from the NYC area to Walla Walla, as your destination has only limited service by smaller aircraft. A quick look online revealed a few itineraries with just one change of aircraft, but many require two. Best bet is to depart either JFK or Newark as both airports have non-stop service to Seattle, while La Guardia does not due to the short runways. Bottom line it will be a long day!

United permits parrots in the cabin with the exception of cockatoos! I fly for United and was shocked to learn this. https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/in_cabin.aspx

A quick read suggests AA only permits dogs or cats in the cabin. No specific mention of birds.

The above sites give specific guidance for carrier size, restrictions, and fees.
