Alex trying to talk?

And one other think, lol. Alex has been chattering away to himself a lot lately. He will be 1 March 1st. Alot of it sounds like a puppy wimpering, mixed with some laughing sounds? He has not formed a word yet, but seems to immitate emotion in our voices. What are your experience with your Alex when they began, or tried to talk? (I love this forum cuz I don't know ANYONE who has an Alex, lol. )

My alexandrine is 15 week old, and he has been chattering the past 3 week. Before they talk, they usually makes some weird sound. Alexandrine usually talk at around 5-6 month, but every bird is different. Some talk in a few week, while some can take up a whole year

Interesting! Alex made a kissy sound the first week I had him and he was about 4 months. Do you have other Alex's?

No, Ozzie is the only alexandrine parakeet I have, he is also my first alex.

Alex is definitely trying to to talk, that is how all birds start out
