Alternative to mounting to the ceiling

Thanks for all the ideas everyone! I'm going to go shopping this weekend and see what I can find. My baby Hahn's won't be home for another couple of months or so, by that time will creep up quickly.

I would really like to have a swing for my Hahn's macaw, but unfortunately I live in an apartment and cannot drill holes in the ceiling to hang it. Would a collapsible curtain rod in between a doorway/archway support a swing and a bird? I was just thinking a maybe building a larger play stand and incorporating the swing into it. Any suggestions?

Hmmmm. they make a " C " shaped stand with legs out of 1 1/2 " tubing that is sturdy enough to support 4 macaws, There's an eyelet on top to secure a swing or rope bouncey thingy. And it's 6 foot in height .

Yeah, it's about a blue crowned conure trying to get reunited with his owner that was a kid back when she got him! Highly recommend it, it's really good!
