Hi everyone! This is my forst post here. I have 4 kakarikis, 2 siblings and a couple. My main concern right now is Ami. She is 1,5 years old (estimated). Back in september-october she was at the emergency hospital for one week because of unknown (either poisoning or some illness she was born with), either way she got better after a while, and then we noticed she laid eggs on the bottom of the cage. That has been dealt with, she got fake eggs (advised by the vet) sat on it for a while. But then I had to go away for a week to a trip, and I left them at the care of my parents. They ended up getting mites, probably from some stick from outside, she got better, her feathers look good, her little boyfriend still looks a bit rough, he's going for a check-up tomorrow. After she got bored of the fake eggs, they started "mating" again, and she ended up double clutching 4 eggs. We separated her and Heszi, the boyfriend, Ami is in their usual aviary, and Heszi is in a cage next to her. We have a camera in their room, so I can see them when I'm not there, and the past 2-3 days, I noticed that when she sleeps, she doesn't sleep on the perch like she used to, but rather on her drinking bowl. It's a flat wooden platform with 2 holes where the bowls go in, (which she loves to chew apart by the way). It's at the top of the cage, one bar higher than the top perch. I am kinda worried that maybe she is getting sick again, and she can't hold herself properly or something. But also a lot of things are happening right now. She double clutched, they're separated, she laid the eggs not too long after she was really sick. Does this seem like a big problem, and I should schedule a vet visit tomorrow for her too, or can I wait it out, talk to the vet about it, and risk the only next potential vet visit be on monday. I also noticed that she rests a bit more recently, I don't know if it's because I'm paying attention to them through the camera more, if it's because they're apart and she's less energetic without him, or I'm just way too stressed and going crazy. The pic I attached is a month old, it also shows the drinking bowl she sleeps on in the background. I hope my rambling made sense!
