This is Jerry, a baby cinnamon blue quaker!

I have always wanted a quaker and finally to finish off our flock we have adopted Jerry! He's a 5 month old baby and settling in great! He and Arya are currently quarantined from each other because they are both new here! Their the only two of my birds living with me so isn't a big ask as their both so little, but I'm so pleased we have finally got a quaker. I guess the family is complete now!

He and Arya eat a little mix I sometimes bake with hot water, this is the contents

We also made some play gyms for the little guys, when they are ready we will do some introduction training, training in front of each other. Learning off each other and slowly getting them used to each other. Until then, it's all individual training and solo time!

Two small spoons of both Harrison's pellets and a high quality seed mix, then carrots, peas, sweat corn and green beans. Then in a morning I also put in dried out fruits and nuts.

He is lovely!!

Two little birds scuttling around the house is lovely!
An those perches were like a little test, I really didn't think we would do it but it's actually so easy!

This is the first time that Jerry has left the cage. He will step up but he is still a little reluctant. I am just scared that when I put him back later he wont want to come back out if we don't make it fun for him.

Doesn't seem to want to play with toys right now or do much training in return for treats, but he has done exceptionally well so far taking some treats earlier in return for stepping up. Albeit he doesn't seem to particular want to yet. I would say for his first time he has done really well, and hopefully this has built some trust for future days out the cage.

Going to try and get him out everyday over the weekend so really try and enforce the joys of being out haha

He is currently, and has been for a while, on my desk next to us on his home made perch just preening and napping. Sleepy baby.

We made Jerry a little hang out spot. He's literally by us both and computers just spending the day getting used to life with the family. He and Arya are so chatty!
We got bowls and all on there so he can eat with us and spend lots of time out the cage!

He is stepping up like a pro now to so il be training him when he becomes more comfortable
