We've had Angel about 3 weeks now. I've hand reared before and also had net caught IRN so I know a bit but im far from expert. Weirdly I don't know what in-between is like. I've had feral, and cuddly. Never not-made-my-mind-up.

I've mentioned her gammy eye before, thankfully this seems to be fading out on its own.

She's just post hand rearing, about 4 weeks earlier. As previous post, I think someone hurt her pretty badly. I suspect thats why she was where she was...a broken hand reared.

Behaviour....

With me...male...experienced and assertive ...step up and interaction is pretty easy, she does what I say, we arent far off finger click to hand...but.....she doesn't seem to like me. Every now and then we have a fistful of dollars standoff.

With wife.....zero experienced, a bit scared but trying....the bird seems to love her...fly to her repeatedly, chasing across sofa, wants to get close, brings her stuff, but bite bite bite. Not chomps...they look like a combo of misjudged preening and playful. Even so those nips are too much.

I know birds have favourites but I want to make sure im not mistaken wife as a friend to wife as a adversary.

She's beautiful. Birds do pick out favorite people. I am experienced and her human pet. Yes, my CAG likes me a lot. But my scared of, never to touch a bird sister it's love. My CAG loves her to the point of video chat. Calling my sister's name till I call her. On visits, my sister gives me the treat to give to Nameliss. I am concerned because I know that Nameliss can be aggressive. The usual reasons of hormones and 'just because'. I don't want her to hurt my bird-dumb sister. Cats have nothing on birds in choosing their humans.
