Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(
And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...Ever since I found out that Amy isn't feeling her best,we have been going out on the road/to places more often. Maybe I'm feeling guilty for not taking him out as much as I should
It's obvious to me on how much he enjoys it,and is sooo willing to go. All I have to do now is ask him if he wants to "go outside...in the car?" and I can actually see the change/expression on his face.
Today,we took a ride to PetSmart in the town next door,to get a bag of the Roudytush pellets he has been noshing on (two bucks a bag cheaper than the CAV) I got a 44oz bag to tie us over until I get off my keester and order from Amazon or Chew. ( I forgot who said to check PetSmart..was either David (Flboy) or Scott) but anyway THANKS to whoever it was )
So this past weekend Amy and I went to visit my brother. David isn't really a birdie guy,he likes kitty's,but he likes them. He and Smokes kind of got along. Smokers would yank on Davids hair, bang her beak on his forehead and "Woo" at him. The Beebs loves everyone and when Beebs first junped on Davids arm and ran up his shoulder to do his WEET-WOO (wolfie whistle) in his ear,and say BB good boy or little boy..little boy..that kinda got him thinking about birdies lol.
However,Amy and he didn't see eye to eye Amy would lunge at him (but Amy was in his house,so I understood that..crikey Amy lunges at ME at times if I get too close to his house )
for the last few weeks when we have gone to visit David,he has been trying to make friends with Amy. I joking said to David that he needs to be friends so he can administer Amys meds, just in case I'm incompassit6ated for some reason..David said he'd bring Amy to the hospital so I can give the med lol.
Well David took Amys perch stick and as Amy was perched on my sneaker asked Him to step up,which Amy did David talked softly to Amy and he listened. He even allowed David to skritch! a MAJOR breakthru!!!
BUT when David tried to get Amy to step from the perch to his knee,Amy gave a good CHOMP to his finger
Of course my brother cussed, however Amy didn't break the skin or draw blood, plus he wasn't showing any signs of aggression at all..no poofiness..flaired rudder or pinny eyes. I think it was because as Amy was trying to step dowm the perch to his knee he was unsure and may have lost his footing/grip on Davids jeans and tried to steady himself with the beaky, but just bit too hard.
today on the ride to the pet store Amy was his usual very alert/happy/lovey self, mumbling 'zon in my ear and beaking my cheek and beard ever so gently.
Who stole my Amy and put this totally lovey bird in my car?? :18:
