Looks good! I've kept Gang-gangs in this exact cage, and they were happy.
As long as you give your bird a way to explore the whole cage - putting perches up the top and bottom - they should do well in a cage like this.

The rungs of the top ladders might be a little too far spaced for a quaker, but you can always fix that or put your own ladders on.

It looks to be a nice cage. You just have to remember that everything you see on ebay isn't necessarily accurate when it comes to descriptions. Let me put it this way, the only money I spend on ebay is disposable money, knowing that I could wind up eating the loss if the item isn't any good or I don't get the item. Yes, Paypal is good, but not perfect either and I most likely will not go through the trouble of shipping the item back.

IMO, the cage is small for a quaker. If there was a larger cage with proper bar spacing that you could afford, I might recommend that cage instead.

Although I do realize you don't have much option to good parrot supplies, including cages, so if it's the best cage that you can get, I know you can definitely make it work!

The cage looks like a really nice one in the photo, love the playtop. I agree with Monica, the space is a little smaller than ideal for a quaker but if you set it up with perches and make all the space usable it should work fine.

I personally agree with Monica and Alee.. get your bird a bit larger cage but other than that... yeah! Get him a larger Macaw cage, probably one for a hyacinth or something

Otherwise over here the larger parrot cages all have bar spacing for the likes of Cockatoos etc which i wouldn't mind except for the fact i am now living with a cat...

I have one similar to that, but I can't say how similar..... It says it's made of wrought iron, but I doubt that. It would be very heavy if it was. It may just be the "ordinary" steel with the pebble-coated paint. Is it possible to find out the gauge of the wire on it? Mine is quite thin, I wouldn't think it sufficient for a parrot if that parrot was a cage chewer. (Shame you aren't local, I've got it sitting in the carport unused, you could give it a try...)

Is your cat interested in the bird? I've got 3 cats and birds everywhere (my galah is in a wider-spaced cage when she's indoors). None of the cats is remotely interested in the birds.

The cat is a hunter, he isnt interested in the Too but i think thats because of her size. When Luke looked after Barry for a week the cat was very interested in him. I would just hate to risk it with a wider bar spacing. Will keep looking around and see what else i can find.

Freespin, the cage may or may not be ok. I've kept two conures now about the same size of a quaker or larger in a smaller flight cage (wider and deeper, but not as tall) - and so far, without issues.

I have pictures of my first conure modeling the cage when I first got it.... to show off size. Bar spacing was small for his feet, but he was able to use it just fine. I was more interested in the "wider than tall" cage and the plastic tray instead of a metal one. It was in case he ever fell while sleeping, he would have a "softer" landing.

Jayde now uses the cage, she's about the size of a quaker (or maybe slightly heavier) and the cage is definitely suited more for her rather than my first conure.

Lovebird, I've been to New Zealand where Freespin is from. A hyacinth cage has far too large bar spacing for a quaker, although I'm sure a quaker would love the size! LOL

From the limited pet sections I saw in NZ, NZ has a piss-poor selection of products! And a lot of it is expensive, too! Our stores here in America would be like Candyland for anyone in NZ!

Have you looked into shipping costs yourself, freespin? If you could find a secondhand cage and the Pack and Send fees weren't ridiculous, maybe you could arrange something that way? Or do you only want brand new?

I would prefer a new one, its hard buying second hand sight unseen. I simply wouldn't buy one from our big chain pet stores, their mark ups are insane!! But like i have said anything bigger seems to have bigger bar spacing apart from these "flight" cages... I have seen Conures living in what look like similar cages?

The last would be a clear fav apart from the bar spacing. Would it be big enough for a little kitty paw to swipe through? Im having issues finding my tape measure and im not much good at visualizing...

online conversion says 3/4" is 1.9cm. My budgie cage that the weiros are in is about 1.4cm and my galah's cage is around 2.5. I don't think a cat could get his arm in 1.9cm, but it depends on the size of the cat (and his determination, I suppose). I can get my cat's arm through the 2.5cm, but I don't think it would fit in 1.9 (but he's my big cat, the girls' might fit).

Hard to say, really.... The budgie size would definitely be cat hand proof.

I think that Quaker's are pretty active birds from what I've heard, so would need more room based on that. More sedate species like the smaller Poicephalus typically can be in a smaller cage like the first one, and they don't even use the whole thing!

If you get a flight cage (skinny bar type) I'd make sure the bars are not TOO flimsy and skinny for that size of bird. Monica's is a bit heavier bars than some flight cages so would be okay for a Quaker sized bird, but personally I like parrot cages with the 3mm thick bars. The only drawback is they're more expensive.
