We make this recipe for our rainbow lorikeet and he absolutely loves them, especially on a hot day.
Peel about 4 apples, any apple will do
Put in saucepan with some water and a bit of sugar
Add some nectar if you like
Boil and then simmer until apples are soft
Mash it all up and put into ice cube trays
You can just pull one out for him and he'll enjoy licking it while it is cold, and then it will melt and he can eat the apple.
Great for summer.
