Apple tree--need advice

Hi,
I always thought the bark of an apple tree was safe for a parrot to chew on.

I read this on another websight, am I wrong as I am getting my baby YNA this Wednesday and want to do everything right for Maggie.

www.mdvaden.com/bird_page.shtml and www.birdsnways.com/articles/plntstox.html both say they that apple trees are fine. I tend to trust the Birds and Way website, but double check with your vet to be completely certain.
