Are Budgies good talkers?

I'm curious to know if they are one of the better talkers. Reason why is there is a youtube channel with a budgie that is a pretty good talker. Is this the norm or is this a special little guy?

I don't know if it is the norm but yes they can become good talkers, a handraised male I think would be your best bet.

My budgie, Percy, was an amazing talker. When you get one who 'wants' to talk, yes, they are excellent. Of course they have that little (adorable) squeaky voice, but are quite understandable and learn quite a few words. Sadly i do not have video of Percy. I had him in my pre digital camera days and when i was younger i definitely couldn't afford nice camera equipment.
He was a "normal" inexpensive pet store budgie, and i believe he was approx six months old to a year when i bought him. He hated me at first, because he was not hand tame and i didn't know what i was doing, but he did eventually learn to trust me and then started talking right away.
I LOVE budgies as pets in general but i have to say when you have one who is a big chatterbox, it is just adorable. It could melt almost anyone.
