Hello all,

I am bringing home my new baby today, and I want to make sure my current pans are safe to use. I have Rachael Ray's Create Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Pots and Pans Set, 11 Piece. They are PFOA-free, and the nonstick coating does not contain PTFE. Am I missing anything that could be dangerous?

well all non-stick coating have teflon, when teflon is heated it creates a gas and if your bird inhales those gases, your bird will die almost instantly. This is because birds lungs are very sensitive. you can find some pans and pots with out any non-stick coating on amazon
btw find pots and pans that are PTFE and PFOA free
I hope this helps ☺️ :orange:

They are PTFE and PFPA free

ok then your pans and pots are suitable for a bird

Not so fast. Manufacturers can change the formula a tiny bit, enough so that they can say its PTFE and PFOA free and it still retains its non-stick properties and still poses a danger to parrots. Legally, they are right, but............
This is very very common, especially if things are made in CHina.
