Hi ALL

Just a quick question
I have loads of Orchid's - Is Luna going to be ok with them if she nibbles them?
I tried to search but it seems ok but I want to be sure

Cheers all

Parrots
Senegal Parrot named "Kane"; Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure named "Bowie"; Blue Quaker Parrot named "Lita Ford"; Cockatiel named "Duff"; 8 American/English Budgie Hybrids; Ringneck Dove named "Dylan"
To the best of my knowledge Orchids are fine for a bird to nibble on, as they are not toxic/poisonous to them. I believe that even the packages of edible-flowers that are commercially sold for people and for birds contain Orchid flowers....

Long time orchid grower here. They are ok, you can even serve up the flowers if you have a few to spare (yes, heresy, I know!;) but come on, you won’t miss one or two incision flowers!) )

Parrots
Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
I confess, I was like, "What are orchidsok?!?"

Got it now lol. Not sure, as I don't have a conure.
Google says they are safe for parrots in general:

I would be careful about the soil you pot them in ----the fertilizer beads etc can be bad.

Very pretty display! The dad on "Meet the Parents" would be jealous!
EDIT-- didn't the dad have a rare orchid that only bloomed every 7 years or something in that movie? Oy...if he didn't then I am losing it.
